A. Answer these questions.
Q1. Find the names of eight colours in the
poem.
Ans- Cobalt, umber,
ultramarine, ivory black, emerald green, crimson, white and purple.
Q2. How many people are speaking in the poem?
Who are they?
Ans- There are two
people in the poem- the poet and his friend (or someone close to the poet).
Q3. Why is the painter using the different
colours to paint?
Ans- The painter is using different colours to
paint to show the endless possibilities of art and imagination, wherein one can
create a world, unrestricted by the limitations of the real world.
Q4. “You painted them true.”
a. Who says this and what does it mean?
Ans- The
poet’s friend said this. It means that the poet has painted the tigers in
crimson and white, cook and a camel in blue and panther in purple which were vibrant
colours where the poet and his friend were giving wings to their imagination.
b. What does the speaker now
ask the painter to paint?
Ans- The
speaker then asked the painter to paint a country where nobody goes and put
some people like poet there.
